The video shows the Golden Retriever sitting next to his uncle at a dining table. He ignores the empty plate right in front of him. Instead, he just enjoys some back scratches. The text explains he is playing the long game. This isn’t your average beggar who whines for scraps. Lenny is much more sophisticated than that. He knows that being a good boy eventually pays off.
On different days, he sits next to his grandma and grandpa. He looks sweetest when getting kisses. He doesn’t bark or stare at the loaded plates. Unbeknownst to him, his parents are in on his sneaky ways and filming his every move. Then we see him simply wait for everyone to lower their guard. It is such a smart tactic, even for a clever pup like Lenny. His owner warns, “if you see this dog at a dinner table, beware!”
And then, finally, the moment. Back beside grandma, mid-kiss, Lenny shifts his eyes. Down near a napkin sits a lone scrap.
