What does your dog do when you offer them a snack? Grab it and eat it within seconds, isn’t it? Well, this Blue Staffy loves to enjoy her food as well. But there is a catch. The pup has serious trust issues when it comes to food. The owner captured the pup’s action in a video and uploaded it to Instagram to show the world how the dog eats even after being with him for so many years.
Staffy has trust issues when it comes to food
Dogs usually grab their favorite snacks when they see them. But this pooch, named Holly, is different. The paw parent uploaded the pup’s action on @hollythebluestaffy, showing that the pup inspects her food every single time before relishing it.
Unlike other fur balls, the Blue Staffy would first perform a “sniff test” before agreeing to take her treat, even after 5 years of being together with her parents. From chips, to meat, to fries, to her favourite treat, “to every piece of food” that her dad gives her, Holly will first sniff the food and then slowly grab it in her mouth. So, it is safe to say, it does not happen with one particular food item.
Looking at how things have not changed over the years, even the dog dad is eager to know, “where is the trust Holly?!” “It’s been nearly 5 years just trust me haha the best part is sometimes I’ll give her a treat… She’ll give it the sniff test… Enjoy the treat… I’ll grab another treat FROM THE SAME BAG in front of her eyes, and she’ll still give it another sniff test,” the owner further revealed about the pup’s habit in the caption.
Needless to say, soon after the upload, the dog lovers gathered to defend the canine’s actions in the comments section, with one saying, “She wants to savor the food through both her senses of smell and taste. She is a true foodie.”
While another follower voiced, “So gentle a true foodie, taking her time smelling and tasting!” Due to the pup’s “gentle” action, the reel has garnered more than 4K likes at the time of writing.
