Having personal space with a pet around is next to impossible, as they love to follow their owners around the house or sit with them when they are trying to relax. This video is a testament to that claim, showing a mom and her dog, who tries to invade her personal space and gets grumpy when the owner does not let the pooch into her space.
Dog wants to invade mom’s personal space, but she says no in this video
It’s not easy to have a personal space with a dog around. Every pet loves to follow their owner and sit with them at every given opportunity. Even this video, uploaded by @situated_canine, shows a mom trying to have some me time on the couch, but that becomes impossible, thanks to her Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Lark.
The clip shows the parent sitting on one corner of the couch with Lark on the other end, quietly looking at her mom while wagging her tail. Within seconds, the Blue Staffy quickly leaves her spot and comes next to her parent to most likely sit on her lap or to get cuddles. But the mom refuses, saying, “personal space.” She even moves the pup aside, asking Lark not to invade her space, but the pooch does not listen.
Instead of going back to her spot, Lark looks at her mom with those adorable puppy eyes, which does its magic but only briefly. After a few scratches, the mom again asks the fur ball to go back and not to come to her space. But this time, the Staffy gets grumpy as she puts her parents’ fingers in her mouth, hinting she is not happy with the request of her human companion. After experiencing this, even the mom questions in the post, “What is personal space?”
Nevertheless, after looking at the dog and the mom’s interaction in the video, which has garnered more than 6.7K likes at the time of writing, netizens supported the pup with one saying, “You’re her person and she’s in your space = personal space.” Another follower mentioned, “They do not know what that means lol.” Meanwhile, a third commented, “Personal space’ is not in a Staffie’s vocab.”
