A lot of pet parents know the feeling of just staring at their pet in total awe. Larissa over at @not.larissa is definitely one of those people. She recently shared a video of her rescue dog, Henri, which is totally relatable. Larissa adopted a mixed-breed pup from a shelter over nine years ago. Even after all these years, his mom is gobsmacked every time she sees him.
Like in this video, the dog is just sitting on the couch, but mom cannot believe he is her “perfect” view every time she walks into a room where he is.

The clip starts with Larissa filming herself, looking incredulous. “Look at what I have,” she tells her followers, and then flips the camera around. Henri slowly comes into focus. He is just sitting on the couch, minding his own business. However, the dog’s mom is just so happy to see him in the video. She asks if she really owns him and goes on to say, “I just walked out of my bathroom. This is my view of this creature?” And the tone of her voice is that of utter disbelief.
Henri looks at her while she talks, perhaps not understanding the words coming out of his mom’s mouth or this sudden bout of cute aggression. Next, he blinks at her, and this small move makes Larissa even more excited. She tells him he is perfect as she walks over and pats his forehead. Then she gives his nose several little boops.
“You’re just a dog, you have no ideas,” she says. He just stays there. She wrote that he is “totally clueless” and “the perfect dog for real.” The pet parent gives him some cheek scritches to finish the moment.
As of the time of writing, over 6,000 people liked the post because every pet parent understands this emotion. One person commented that he actually does know how loved he is. Another viewer said this is exactly what it means to be “rich.”
